Early voting

Early voting in Pennsylvania runs from September 19 to November 1. You will vote early in person by filling out a mail ballot at your county election board or another designated location. 


Voting By Mail

All registered voters can vote by mail in Pennsylvania, no excuse needed. Request your mail ballot by November 1. You should mail back your completed ballot by November 1, one week before Election Day, or return it in person by 8:00 pm on Election Day. Carefully follow the instructions on your mail ballot, and don’t forget to sign and date the outer envelope.

Voting On Election Day

Polls are open 7:00 am to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 8. Don’t forget your photo ID!


Registering to Vote

Update your voter registration, or register for the first time, by October 24


I.D. requirements

In Pennsylvania, first-time voters will be asked to present identification before voting.
