Frequently Asked Questions

Community Mobilizers are people like you who we pay to contact infrequent voters in their own personal network.

This work is flexible — Community Mobilizers are expected to talk with 35 people they know per week about the upcoming election, and check in with their Progressive Turnout Project Organizer on a regular basis. This form of direct voter contact is known as Relational Organizing.

Community Mobilizers are independent contractors who will be paid at a rate of $250 per week with the possibility of working up to two weeks and making up to $500. This amount will be paid in full at the end of the role by paychecks or direct deposit.

Community Mobilizers will work the last two weeks of this election cycle, starting on October 25 and ending on Election Day, November 8, 2022.

There are no set hours for this role. Community Mobilizers can talk with their personal network whenever is most convenient for them. We do ask that Community Mobilizers plan to do some outreach to people they know on Election Day, November 8, 2022.

Anyone over the age of 18 who has a substantial number of friends, family, and coworkers in the metro areas of our program states:

Absolutely! Since this role does not require any 9-5 work, Community Mobilizers are free to do this work whenever, wherever, and however they wish. We welcome applications from people with busy schedules.
Nope! This role can be done fully remotely.
No! Nobody is better at getting your friends, family and neighbors to vote than you are. We will provide a thorough orientation about relational organizing and the tools we use for the project.
