December 6, 2022 Runoff Election

Early voting

For the runoff election, early voting dates vary by county, but must be offered starting November 28 at the latest. Your county may start earlier. 


Voting By Mail

Anyone can vote by mail in Georgia, no excuse needed. Request your mail ballot by November 25 for the runoff election.

You should mail back your completed ballot by November 29, one week before Election Day, or return it in person. Contact your County Registrar to find your ballot drop-off locations.


Voting On Election Day

Polls are open 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 6. Don’t forget your photo ID! 


Registering to Vote

To vote in the runoff election, you need to have registered to vote by November 7, 2022. You can vote in this runoff even if you didn’t vote in the November general election. 


I.D. requirements

To vote in person or by mail in Georgia, you need an accepted form of photo ID.
